Introducing SMV N1200 ATOR
Our flagship product, the SMV N1200 ATOR, is an advanced amphibious all-terrain vehicle designed for use in harsh conditions, from arid deserts and mudflats to mountainous terrains with sub-zero temperatures.
SMV N1200 ATOR – Key Features
Designed specifically for the Indian Defence Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), this specialist mobility vehicle is amphibious and features self‑inflating tyres powered by an integrated exhaust system for seamless movement across diverse terrains.
Amphibious Capability
It features 1.8m high floatation tires which act as paddles, enabling seamless land-to-water transitions. It swims at above 5 km/h, making it invaluable for flood rescue, river crossings, and operations in waterlogged areas
Extreme Terrain Mastery
With skid steering mechanism and dual-lever control, it conquers diverse terrains, operating in temperatures ranging from -15°C to +45°C. It climbs 1-meter obstacles, and traverses 30° front gradient and 17° slopes.
Rugged Indigenous Engineering
Built with high-strength Docol steel frame and zinc-coated components, engineered for extended operational life. Fuel tanks integrated within wheel rims maximize cargo space while ensuring durability and minimal maintenance for extended military deployment.
High Payload Capacity & Versatility
With a payload capacity of 1,200 kg, room for nine personnel, and towing ability up to 2,350 kg, it supports military, police, and emergency teams with ample capacity and flexibility for a wide range of missions.
Prioritizing Safety and Stability
Engineered for maximum safety, a low center of gravity significantly reduces rollover risk, enhancing overall stability. For robust protection in the event of an accident, the body integrates a high-strength steel Roll Over Protection System (ROPS)

The Hyundai Infracore diesel engine is designed to minimize its environmental footprint without sacrificing performance. It efficiently delivers high torque and excellent fuel economy, providing high customer value in a sustainable way.
JSW Gecko Motors Manufacturing Facility in Chandigarh
The facility, which commenced full scale production in January 2024, incorporates cutting-edge manufacturing processes with stringent quality control to meet military specifications. The plant currently employs highly skilled personnel focused on precision engineering and advanced vehicle assembly.
Indigenous Defense Innovation
The facility achieves >90% indigenous content in SMV N1200 ATOR vehicles, exemplifying the Make-in-India initiative, reducing import dependency, & strengthening domestic defence manufacturing.
